Extreme Rules PPV is waiting for us tomorrow night with a series of blockbuster matches. It is one of those nights where we see contests with interesting stipulations.
It’s no exception this time around too. Some of the most exciting gimmick matches will come back to entertain the fans like never before.
Overall, seven championship matches will take place in this year’s edition of Extreme Rules PPV. There will be Shark Cage, Ironman and the Extreme Rules gimmick itself on the card. We hope to get an exciting PPV which is also the final one before Summerslam. The host venue is the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Here are the Extreme Rules match card with predictions,
Finn Balor vs Baron Corbin
Prediction – Fans are not at all invested in this contest considering the lack of buildup. The feud failed to make any such impression on the WWE Universe. So we don’t expect much from this contest. Since Baron Corbin is within a push, he is likely to win this filler matchup.
Raw Tag Team Championship Match
Matt Hardy & Bray Wyatt vs The B-Team
Prediction – We have already seen enough of this winning streak of the B-Team. There’s mo point of letting them win on a consecutive basis. Hardy and Wyatt should squash them at Extreme Rules to move on to a next opponent. They deserve much better challengers at Summerslam.
Raw Women’s Championship (Extreme Rules) Match
Alexa Bliss vs Nia Jax
Prediction – This match should be the most entertaining one of the night. Presence of Ronda Rousey and the Extreme Rules capacity will affect the contest. But in the end, Bliss will find a way to retain her championship, perhaps with an assist from Mickie James. One way or the other Bliss vs Rousey feud is happening at Summerslam.
SmackDown Women’s Championship (Shark Cage) Match
Carmella vs Asuka
Prediction – Addition of the shark cage hyped-up this title match at Extreme Rules. Ellsworth will have stay inside it as per the rules. But his small size will allow him to escape the cage at any point. It should be the distraction point for Asuka where Carmella could capitalise and retain her title.
SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match
The Bludgeon Brothers vs. Team Hell No
Prediction – Team Hell No has all the momentums by their side at this point. But we need to remember Kane is a part-timer in the WWE. So it is not likely that WWE will allow them to recapture the tag team titles. The Miz can interrupt to cause Hell No this entire matchup, as well.
30 Minute Iron Man Match For The WWE Intercontinental Championship
Dolph Ziggler vs Seth Rollins
Prediction – We expect a show-stellar performance from these two technical wrestlers. They are surely going to keep the fans on their toes for the entire match duration. In the end, Drew McIntyre will make the difference allowing Ziggler to hold on to the IC title.
United States Championship Match
Jeff Hardy vs Shinsuke Nakamura
Prediction- Jeff Hardy has not been able to establish himself as a strong champion over the course of his title reign. Lacklustre planning is the main reason for the same. On the other hand, Nakamura is on the top of his game as a heel persona. He needs a title by his side, and Extreme Rules should be the beginning of a reign.
Kevin Owens vs Braun Strowman
Prediction- Once we have Braun Strowman in a singles contest, we surely don’t need any prediction for it. Specifically, a steel cage will resist any type of shenanigans to happen. It confirms another squash match in favour of the Monster in the Bank against Owens.
WWE Championship Match
AJ Styles vs Rusev
Prediction – It should be a good matchup between the two of them to the pleasure of WWE Universe. Rusev getting a title match is the pleasure of the WWE Universe. But the future bookings of the WWE is still advertising AJ as the champion following Extreme Rules. So Rusev is not picking up the title as much as the fans want it to happen.
Roman Reigns vs Bobby Lashley
Prediction- This is the potential main event of Extreme Rules between these two behemoths. It would be a solid encounter that is happening for the first-time inside the squared circle. At this point, Lashley is the favourite to win this contest and face Brock Lesnar at Summerslam. Hopefully, this plan remains intact to avoid a potential backlash if Roman Reigns wins.
