Shayna Baszler has been showing up on the main roster shows ever since WWE started the buildup for Survivor Series 2019. This year, the black and yellow brand will be competing against Raw and SmackDown, simultaneously.

Hence, Baszler will be a key part of the match card when she competes in a huge triple threat match. She will be facing the SmackDown women’s champion Bayley and Raw women’s champion Becky Lynch in the contest.

Recent reports are claiming that Shayna Baszler won’t be having to invade anymore in order to make entry to the main roster. During a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that WWE “absolutely” had big plans for the Queen of Spades upon either Raw or SmackDown entry. But with NXT airing on the USA Network, those plans could be slowing down, depending on the situation.

The bigger plans could be on a halt since NXT is in the middle of a war with AEW on Wednesday nights which needs bigger names on the scene. So stars like Shayna Baszler will continue to be assets on NXT rather than being on the main roster scene.

This could be the reason why no new NXT import may permanently happen, as of now. Here’s more on Shayna Baszler as reported by the source, (courtesy ringsidenews.com)

“What I can say is that she is earmarked in 2020. You know, again, because of NXT going to USA, everything’s out the window. Before NXT was on USA she was being groomed for the main roster and she was going to be a star on the main roster. They thought very, very highly of her and obviously they still think very highly of her because she’s had the Women’s Championship in NXT for a long time.”

“There were absolutely plans for her on the main roster and they were significant. Unless the idea is that they’re not going to bring her up because they’re not going to do that with NXT people anymore which would be too bad unless they start paying them like they do the main roster.”

However, WWE does have to consider the age of Shayna Baszler (39 years) while planning a career for her. She may not continue wrestling for a long time after leaving the NXT brand. It’s no secret that she’s good friends with Ronda Rousey. This also keeps the chances alive for her to form the four-horsewomen in UFC, someday.
