Brock Lesnar isn’t present on WWE television for a long time and the company feels his absence, big-time. Nobody could match up to his star power and the marquee status. So Vince McMahon and Co must be trying hard to bring him back. They could just be setting the stage for an emphatic return as seen on Raw. His name came up on WWE programming and a big focus was put, thereby.
It started the rumors that his hiatus could be coming to an end. During Monday Night RAW, this week, Kofi Kingston and Drew McIntyre both talked about Brock Lesnar. McIntyre mentioned how he defeated Lesnar to win his first WWE Championship while Kofi failed to do so. Then Bobby Lashley asked, “why are they talking about somebody who doesn’t even work here?” These words might act as seeds to plant for the impending return.
Brock Lesnar’s WWE Wrestlemania Streak Ended In 2021
WWE planted seeds for Brock Lesnar’s return
During Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez discussed this segment and mentioned how WWE is a pro on planting seeds ahead of the happenings. Things are scripted on WWE TV and those lines were spoken on television for a reason. The source also noted how Brock Lesnar vs Bobby Lashley could take place at this year’s Summerslam,
“When I heard that I thought that they are building toward Lashley vs Lesnar. That is a match that they have not done. It is a match that people have been asking for a long time and maybe that’s their plan for SummerSlam. Maybe that is their plan for WrestleMania, etc.”
Brock Lesnar’s F5 Move Has Big Flaw, Says Former WWE Official
The pandemic was the main reason behind Brock Lesnar’s absence while the absence of the fans was also a significant reason. WWE is bringing back live crowds in July. So that could be a perfect stage to bring back The Beast Incarnate. Lashley vs. Lesnar is a money match that WWE Universe will be looking forward to. If this match is in the pipeline then Drew McIntyre might not emerge as the victorious one at Hell in a Cell.
During Wrestling Observer Radio last month, Dave Meltzer was asked about the possibility of Brock Lesnar returning to WWE by SummerSlam 2021. He mentioned while nothing has been confirmed, it’s also not out of the question. Vince McMahon must be setting up a clear vision for things to happen but he would obviously keep it close to the vest.
