We were all set to receive another championship match at Extreme Rules after the heel-turn of AJ Styles. WWE Raw confirmed the same, last night via a promo by the United States Champion, Ricochet. It was him who suffered the wrath of The Club and so he wants retribution against The Phenomenal One on this Sunday night. The heel faction soon interrupted him to set up two back to back matches.

Luke Gallows took on against Ricochet only to come up short as Ricochet pinned him with a roll-up. Karl Anderson then tried to go up against him but became a victim of the 630-splash off the top rope. The two back to back losses of his partner made AJ Styles irate as he delivered a blindside attack to the US Champion. A Phenomenal Forearm forced Ricochet to lie on his back as The Club stood tall again.

AJ Styles heel-turn on WWE Raw was something that the fans never saw it coming. They were rather happy to see the dream match against Ricochet where the United States Championship was on the line. The champion picked up a clear win via pinfall making the challenger frustrated. So he grouped along with his former Club brethren, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson.

This ensured a beating from AJ Styles towards Ricochet after the main event of WWE Raw. With The Club getting back on the same page, WWE.com hinted that the locker room environment is about to change,

“After failing to capture the United States Championship from Ricochet in this past Monday night’s main event, a frustrated AJ Styles joined Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson in a sadistic post-match assault that culminated in a vicious second-rope Styles Clash to the titleholder. The three longtime running buddies followed up on the brutality with a symbolic “Too Sweet” gesture over the reeling Ricochet to signify to the WWE Universe that The Club is back, and they mean business.”

So the scenario was almost set where AJ Styles can get a championship rematch at Extreme Rules. He not only got that but also stood tall using the number-games that gives him the upper-hand heading into the PPV event.
