WWE women have continued to make history for the past couple of years. They received the spotlight needed to shine brightly in an industry which was male-dominated since the beginning. This is the reason why the women superstars are no strangers when it comes to the main event picture on WWE’s TV programming.

Hardy Boyz set for a dream Wrestlemania match

Plus, it’ll be indeed a historic moment when women superstars will feature in the main event of Wrestlemania for the first time. It’s almost certain that the triple threat bout among Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair will be the first-of-its-kind match to close the show. But going forward they might the chance to compete at Evolution PPV.

We should remind you of another such milestone incident from 2018 where women superstars received their own pay-per-view event. It took place from Uniondale, New York in the form of Evolution to achieve a milestone. Some of the critics also touted this one to be the best PPV of the year, too. Unfortunately, this might not return, this year.

Apparently, the pay-per-view scheduled for 2019 is out now, internally. Reports from rajah.com claimed that WWE officials have not left a blank spot to host the all-women event Evolution. This means that this particular show is not happening. Even if this culminates then it’ll be on a short term notice, (via SportsKeeda.com)

“Of course, this was the case last year but WWE left October open without a pay-per-view for this purpose. The company hasn’t done the same thing this year. This means that most women can hope for is a pay-per-view sandwiched between two other events which would only allow for around two weeks build following the previous outing.”

Despite what some of the fans think, it’s a fact that the presence of Ronda Rousey helped a lot while upping the Women’s Evolution. She might not be present in the WWE following Wrestlemania which could turn out to be a big difference for the roster. Depending on the real-time scenario, WWE might try to arrange the PPV without her.

Speaking of Ronda Rousey, she was the main-event name for Evolution, too. On October 28th, we saw her defending Women’s Championship against Nikki Bella. Interestingly, it was also the last time Nikki Bella competed in a WWE ring. Both of these ladies are the most marketable athletes of the women’s division. It will be interesting to see whether WWE intends to host the PPV without their presence.
