WWE News: Bayley Addressed Tantrum Rumors From Wrestlemania 35
One of the most discussed stories coming out of Wrestlemania 35 was Sasha Banks and Bayley throwing tantrums backstage. These two entered the show as the reigning women’s tag team champions. But they lost the belts to The IIconics. (Peyton Royce and Billie Kay) Rumors had that the former champions were visibly upset on how things went down on that night and reacted in a strange manner after going backstage.
Several stories were available regarding this on the internet that suggested that Sasha Banks was much upset about the match outcome on that night. She laid on the floor and started crying to vent out frustrations on the creative team.
Apparently, she also tried to quit the company on the same night but WWE officials prevented her by using the existing contract. Bayley was also the one who was part of this reported drama.
Current WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley appeared on the Sky Sports Lock Up podcast to note on the backstage stories that took over the internet, at one point.
Bayley was speaking mostly about her evolution as a character, the recent heel-turn with a new look which helped her to recapture the championship. The host then wanted to let the truth out of her about the Wrestlemania story and she had the following to offer, (courtesy wrestlingINC.com)
“We read all the stupid rumors and it’s ridiculous. There’s no proof of it and it’s people just spreading these rumors because they want to talk, they want something to start up. We literally watched the main event in person by the hard cam and enjoyed the women stealing the show.”
“We’re professionals and we love this more than anyone can imagine, more than anyone else in that locker room.”
Sasha Banks cut a promo on this after her return on Monday Night Raw in August admitting that she was unhappy and created some drama at Wrestlemania. So the words coming out of The Boss’ mouth is pretty different from that of her best friend, Bayley. We wonder whether Sasha’s promo was just a written script to suit her heel persona.
