WWE News: Bayley Injured On Raw, Might Not Wrestle At Summerslam

The speculation of Bayley possibly rupturing shoulder was there on the internet ever since she competed in a match on this past edition of Monday Night Raw. The rumour mill was filling up with the news of the number one contender for the Raw Women’s Championship possibly injuring herself following the bout.

Later, WWE.com confirmed that the beloved female superstar of the WWE female roster has been suffering from an injury since that brutal matchup. The diagnosis process is ongoing for now to understand how long Bayley could be out of action. This was the official update about her shoulder issue:

“The former Raw Women’s Champion was evaluated by medical personnel, but the official diagnosis was inconclusive due to the amount of swelling involved. Bayley has been told to rest the shoulder until next week, at which point doctors are hopeful that the swelling will have sufficiently gone down so that she may be reevaluated and a firm verdict can be reached.”

Apparently, Alexa Bliss was more than happy to learn the news of Bayley going up against the monstrous Nia Jax hoping that she could be injured prior to the Summerslam PPV. At that night, The Hugger is scheduled to have a matchup against Bliss for the Raw Women’s Championship.

The “wicked witch” is successful in earning her goal now that Bayley is not cleared to compete inside the ring until the diagnosis process is completed. It could very well turn out that she can’t make it to Summerslam.

WWE doctor Chris Amann stated the following stating that further update will be given on her condition,
“We’ve determined the injury is shoulder-related, and she will be going under further diagnostic testing later this week to determine the extent of the injury and also establish a timetable for recovery.”

Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted on his recent reports that Bayley might have separated her shoulder due to some nasty bumps in the match. This would force her to get sidelined for at least six weeks. If this speculation turns out to be true then she will miss her debut match at the biggest event of the summer.
Meanwhile, WWE Superstars took their Twitter handle wishing Bayley’s speedy recovery:
