Backstage scenario heading into Royal Rumble has certainly become interesting. We have reported earlier that The Revival has wanted to go out of the WWE. They have requested their release from the contract which the officials have denied. Apparently, Sasha Banks is very happy with this move and she wants to accompany this tag team!

Maria Kanellis wants to leave the WWE

As much as it’s hard to believe but it may be true if we go through recent Twitter altercations between these two. The news of The Revival wanting their WWE release has spread like wildfire over the social media. Sasha Banks took fewer times to react on this. She wanted to be like the rebellious tag team from Monday Night Raw.

The Revival replied her back saying they are always there to steal the show no matter what the promotion is. This was a clear hint that they might have opted not to spreading their stint in the WWE. Interestingly, Sasha Banks quoted their tweet and asked them to take her alongside. It was literally an open declaration to leave the company.

WWE has not used Sasha Banks to her full potential for the past couple of years. This might have generated frustrations on her as she intends to move out of the brand. As a precautionary step, we will see Ronda Rousey and Sasha Banks engage in a match for the RAW Women’s Championship at Royal Rumble.

Meanwhile, more reports are out on The Revival requesting their WWE release. They were still in their gear on WWE Raw while asking for it. Pro-wrestling Sheet revealed the potential reasons what could have instigated him. They were definitely unhappy with their current status. Plus, the whole tag team division’s booking really kept them unhappy. Here’s more via stillrealtous.com,

“The duo is said to be frustrated with their lack of promos, backstage segments, and direction of the tag team division as a whole. One source pointed to The Club and Authors of Pain as other tag teams who were originally pushed as a big deal, that WWE hasn’t done much with.”

Frustrations on the Revival really got into after Raw Tag Team Champions Bobby Roode & Chad Gable weren’t featured on the show. At this point, it’s still not clear whether the officials will include them onto the show on tonight’s episode. But the sources clarified that The Revival has “a decent amount of time” left in their current WWE contracts.
