WWE News: Bracket Revealed For The United States Championship Tournament

As per the earlier announcements, WWE announced a tournament featuring some of the top superstars from Smackdown Live. This was a creative decision to crown a new United States Champion following Dolph Ziggler vacating the title. He won the triple threat match took place at the Clash of Champions PPV to win the title for the second time in his career.

However, for some unknown reason, he chose to walk away from the scene turning his back from the fans. Interestingly, he left the title in the middle of the ring indicating that he is relinquishing the championship. But, it was not stated, officially. Afterward, Daniel Bryan came up with a solution to crown a new champion.

An eight-man tournament was announced on the last edition of Smackdown Live for the same. Two matches took place on the night between Bobby Roode-Baron Corbin and Jinder Mahal-Tye Dillinger. Roode and Mahal became the respective winners from their matches to advance in the semi-final of the tournament and got one step closer to become the new champion.

Later, WWE released the full bracket of matches that are set to come on the next edition of Smackdown Live. Xavier Woods of The New Day will take on Aiden English whereas Zack Ryder will have a match against bitter-rival Mojo Rawley. Both the matches are expected to take place on the next edition of Smackdown Live.

It is also to be noted that the winner will be crowned at the Royal Rumble PPV. According to the announcement, the match between the two final participants will take place at the first dual-brand PPV of the year 2018 to determine who the next US champion would be. With that being said, we now have the fourth official match for the Royal Rumble PPV.

The participants of the match have already started reacting on Twitter claiming that they will be winning the title. Going by the speculations, it is likely that Bobby Roode and Jinder Mahal are going to be the last two members of the contest and have a match at Royal Rumble.
