Rumor around Brock Lesnar’s return was running rampant all over the social media. It got even bigger since it was announced that he will make his return to the UFC ring on July 9th against Mark Hunt. After a hiatus of five years, he will be seen inside an Octagon.
Keeping in mind that WWE is going to host the WWE Draft on this months’ 19th, the speculation started that will he return for the same and will he be part of it? Previously it was reported that Lesnar will not be seen on the blue brand on the above-mentioned date.
After that, it was reported by Wrestling Observer that Brock Lesnar might return for the WWE Draft which is set to change the landscape of the WWE. WWE is trying to present the biggest prizefighter available in the company and perhaps that will be the night when we will get a clue who is going to be his next opponent for Summerslam 2016.
But now it is announced on wwe.com that we will get to know about Brock Lesnar’s Summerslam opponent on this week’s edition of Smackdown. WWE posted the following:
“The question of who will face Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam will be answered this Thursday on SmackDown.
It was announced previously that The Beast Incarnate will return to the squared circle on Sunday, Aug. 21, when The Biggest Party of the Summer takes over Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
The last time the WWE Universe saw The Anomaly in a WWE ring, he defeated Dean Ambrose in a barbaric No Holds Barred Street Fight at WrestleMania. Who will be the next competitor to try to take down the decorated Lesnar, at SummerSlam no less?
Find out this Thursday when SmackDown airs on USA Network at 8/7C.”
