Whoever was a fan of the WWE at the time of the Ruthless Aggression Era must be familiar with Carlito. This man made his debut back in 2004 and rose to the fame. On that night, he defeated the United States champion, John Cena to take away the title from him. Following that, he featured in the main event scene, as well for quite a few times.
During his entire tenure of more than six years, he’d become Intercontinental champion and two-time tag team champion with his brother, Primo. The later one is still under contract with WWE while Carlito fell victim to an unfortunate incident and was forced to leave the company.

In 2010, the 38-year-old was suspended due to a Wellness Policy Violation. Ever since then, he has been working on the independent wrestling circuit and never made his comeback. He performed under a number of banners such as World Wrestling Council, Millennium Wrestling Federation and Big Time Wrestling.

The Puerto Rican recently sat for an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated. He discussed a number of topics including his return to the WWE and creating a faction with the group, the Shining Stars.

He stated that a number of superstars need to be utilised properly in the company. His brother Primo and cousin Epico are one of them. He’d love to come back and team up with them and establish them on the main roster. Here are his comments:
“They’re extremely talented, but it’s all about finding the right avenue for them. There are a lot of guys there like that. There is a lot of talent there, and you need to find the right way to exploit it.”

While speaking of a WWE return he said that they had talked previously. The money is the most important thing for him in this matter. As long as he is happy with the economics, he has no problem t make a return to the company, once more. Here’s what he stated:
“We’ve had talks. I haven’t spoken to them in a while, but it’s all about economics. For the right price, I’d love to come back, but it’s got to be something that works for them and something that works for me.”
