WWE News: Dean Ambrose Will Lose Intercontinental Title Via Interference At Extreme Rules

Dean Ambrose and The Miz will renew their rivalry at the upcoming Extreme Rules PPV over the Intercontinental championship.
Ever since the Superstars Shakeup process happened both of them arrived on Raw from the Smackdown brand to resume their unfinished business prior to the Wrestlemania season.
Now, quite an interesting stipulation was added to this match for the Extreme Rules PPV. If Dean Ambrose somehow gets disqualified then he would lose the IC title to The Miz. This rule clearly favours the A-lister considering how cunning he is when it comes to the dirty games. For the past couple of weeks, he capitalised on this restriction playing mind games with the champion.
Meanwhile, the recent reports are saying there’s big reason why this stipulation, in particular, was added to the match. The Miz will eventually pick up the Intercontinental title for the seventh time after a superstar from the Raw roster will interfere into the contest to cause the disqualification.
According to the Observer Newsletter, The Drifter, Elias Samson will be the one to intervene the matchup at Extreme Rules PPV. Two weeks ago, while having a match against Ambrose, The Miz attacked him to end the match via DQ.
So, he is all set to return the favour by attacking The Miz at the championship match. It will disqualify the IC champion from the match, as per the rules and lose the title, as well.
Samson is said to be giving a clue for the upcoming scenario by including the “eye for an eye” phrase in his song on this past week’s episode of Raw. It was a clear indication that he will attack The Miz in the match to give him back what he deserves. But, it will do him a favour, for sure.
Afterwards, he will enter into a feud against the Lunatic Fringe. This will be his first storyline on the flagship brand after coming to the main roster from the NXT brand. This man has all the potentials to become a bonafide heel on the main roster. So, a rivalry with Ambrose will drag him into the limelight, for sure. Plus, it will end a nightmare championship run for him.
