WWE News: EC3 Makes His Debut at NXT in a Live Event

The rumours of EC3 making his debut on the developmental territory are there for quite a few weeks now.

He was spotted at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida back in time for Royal Rumble weekend. But, the televised debut is yet to come.

As per the earlier reports, Ethan Carter aka EC3, the former Impact Wrestling promotion superstar was likely to perform on the NXT brand. Previously, most of the sources suggested he was eyeing a debut at the Royal Rumble match which means the main roster is going to be his home.

However, going by the Twitter handle of the NXT, he is about to be shifted to the developmental territory.

The official social media handle is now teasing his debut with the quote, “the future of NXT is here” which means a new rise is on the horizon on NXT TV taping. A new franchise player is coming along, and it is going to be none other than EC3 who chose to leave the Impact promotion, a couple of months ago. Being a free agent, Triple H, the head honcho of the brand has signed him under his wings.

Recently, the would-be franchise player of the NXT brand has started performing in the house shows hosted by the brand. At the Dade City live event of NXT brand, EC3 made his in-ring debut. He was pitted against Kassius Ohno. He won the match in a valiant effort. It was a great way to put over the newcomer in the NXT brand via help from the jobber.

It was not confirmed that EC3 would perform on the show, before the event. When the actual card was shown to the crowd, they were really shocked to see him. It was great to see him in a warm-up match for the big contest waiting during the Wrestlemania 34 weekend. A six-pack challenge would be hosted for the North American Wrestling championship at NXT Takeover: New Orleans.

A number of further matches were also held on that show which is as follows:
* No Way Jose defeated Adrian Jaoude
* Dakota Kai defeated Aliyah
* Raul Mendoza defeated Dan Matha
* The Velveteen Dream defeated Riddick Moss
* Ethan Carter III defeated Kassius Ohno
* SAnitY defeated Heavy Machinery
* WWE UK Champion Pete Dunne retained over Oney Lorcan in the match of the night
* Kairi Sane, Candice LeRae and Jessie Elaban defeated Shayna Baszler, Reina Gonzalez and Vanessa Borne
