Former WWE Diva Eve Torres opened up about the most disgusting experience of her life in a social media post. She admitted to being a victim of rape. It happened almost a decade ago as she finally gained the courage to share the story with others. As the Sexual Assault Awareness month continues, she may become an inspiration to millions of pro-wrestling fans who may follow her to become a strong woman.

Eve Torres confirmed that the incident took place a decade ago that means she was still enjoying her WWE stint back then. The incident happened “on a night with mutual friends, alcohol, and while I was out of town in an environment that was unfamiliar to me.” She added that it took her 10 years to finally reveal the instance that she was a survivor of a race condition.

She continued saying that at the time of the assault she “used all of these circumstances to tell myself that I had participated in the act when in reality, my verbal and physical resistance indicated otherwise.” The three-time former Divas Champion added that this society does not constitute rape just because they don’t fight men. This case is totally different. Additionally, she wanted to empower a lot of women with the heartfelt message posted on her Instagram account,
“I know many women (and men) have still yet to processes many parts of their past. One might think that after 10 or more years, the wounds have healed, but while wounds left unattended can heal, they leave scars that exist with us for life. It is never too late to talk to someone about your past. It’s never too late to start healing. I will create space for you if you would like to talk to me.”
It takes a lot of guts to share an experience like this on an open public platform at a time when Eve Torres is a married woman. Her husband must be so supportive that she could highlight the bitter truth of her life. In case you don’t know, she took retirement from in-ring competition in 2013. She is one of the few Diva names who won the championship for multiple occasions. Now she is a mother of two children who also works for physical fitness purpose.
