WWE News: Gail Kim Credited Triple H For Revolutionizing The Women’s Division 1

Gail Kim is considered as one of the female wrestling legends in the pro-wrestling history. The 40-year-old woman has done it all in her career. She was a WWE Diva at one point but decided to leave in the year 2011 and joined TNA for the betterment of her career. She never had to look back from that point onwards.

She has six knockout championships under her name in the promotion and became the Hall of Famer, there, last year. Ever since then, there have been some speculations stating that she might be joining WWE, once again. But, till date that did not happen.

Recently Gail Kim had a conversation with ex-WWE writer Kevin Eck where she expressed her gratitude towards Triple H who has done so much for the female athletes. The scenario for the women’s wrestling has been drastically changed from the way it used to be in the last decade.

The veteran wrestler recalled her stint saying that Vince McMahon did not focus much on the women’s wrestling when he had the entire control. She even said there were certain people at backstage who’d come up to her and say that The Boss does not like the women to fight the way the men fight in the ring.

This might be one of the reasons why Gail Kim had left the company and gave us some gruesome matches with The Awesome Kong in TNA. But, she was able to earn the respect from Triple H. She remembered how The Game inspired her with the following comments:

“Now I heard WWE has announced a Money in the Bank match for the girls. I honestly feel like (Triple H) has done so much for the girls, because he started that whole thing in NXT with the Four Horsewomen.

“When I left WWE, he was one of the people who was so positive. He told me, ‘You’re talented and don’t let anyone else tell you any different.’ I was very flattered and glad that he respected women’s wrestling.”

The credit for women’s revolution certainly goes to EVP of the Talent Relations for WWE who wanted to change the direction of female wrestling and got success with it. As a result of it, we have witnessed the first-ever women’s Hell in a Cell match and set to see the Money in the Bank, as well.
