The release of the annual WWE video game is coming closer and the rumors of Goldberg’s return are growing day by day. It started during the trailer of the video game was launched on an episode of Monday Night Raw in the month of June. Goldberg himself said numerous times in recent past that he is ready for return which fuelled it even more.
Now, the official inauguration of WWE 2K17 video game is set to happen on this month, itself. Hence the promotions are on its final lap. The two big PPVs of October are also presented by the latest edition of WWE’s video game. Plus, Goldberg himself will appear on ESPN SportsCenter’s “Off the Top Rope” segment hosted by Jonathon Coachman for the promotional activity.
Quite interestingly, he will not only promote the video game but also clear the air about his status with WWE, on the show. The former WWE employee, Coachman confirmed the news on his official twitter handle. Goldberg too posted an update regarding the same on Twitter.

Surprisingly, on this week’s Monday Night Raw, Raw commentator, Michael Cole stated that Goldberg will appear on ESPN Sportscenter and will discuss his current status with WWE, on the show. The fact getting addressed in the flagship show of WWE takes the appearance to a whole new level which otherwise was supposed to be a normal PR appearance.
It’s a fact that the WWE Universe is expecting Goldberg to be seen in a WWE ring due to the promotion of the 2K17 video game. We have seen returns from The Ultimate Warrior, Sting in the past couple of years for the same reason. WWE Universe has not witnessed Bill Goldberg since he departed from the company, the night after Wrestlemania 20. It has been 12 long years since the night when Goldberg defeated Brock Lesnar with Stone Cold Steve Austin as the referee. It eventually marked final for both Brock Lesnar and Goldberg’s departure, back then.
