wwe raw, gauntlet, main event

Tonight will mark the last episode of WWE Raw before we get to the Elimination Chamber PPV in 2018 on this Sunday. The fans will look forward to the demonic cage structure match which is going to be bigger than ever, this year.

For the first time ever, there will be a match featuring all-women lineups that will declare the women’s championship match at Wrestlemania.

The men’s division matchup will also be historic considering that for the first time ever, there will be seven men competing inside it.

As per the tradition, six superstars compete inside the structure with two superstars starting in and four other members locked inside the pods. They get released in a time span of five minutes once the buzzer stops.

It is certain to hype up the intensity of these two matches, a huge buildup will be made on tonight’s edition of WWE Raw.

Hence, a bigger-than-ever main event has been announced on the show.

According to the updates from WWE.com, the seven competitors competing in the men’s Elimination Chamber match will compete in a gauntlet match.

The seven names included in the match are John Cena, Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman, Elias, The Miz, Seth Rollins and Finn Balor. Check out the official confirmation from the official website of the company,

“For the first time ever, seven Superstars will compete inside the Elimination Chamber next Sunday, with the winner going on to challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania. However, this Monday night on Raw, those same Superstars will square off in a huge Gauntlet Match ahead of their history-making Chamber clash, WWE.com can confirm.”

The rules of this match state that two superstars start the match based on random choosing. They compete in a match until one pinfall or submission occurs. The defeated one gets eliminated while another one enters the fray to face the winner. This will continue until all the seven men enter one by one once referee rings the bell.

There’s no wonder that the number one and two spots are the most unlikely to be whereas the last man gets the advantage. The feel of this match is quite same to that of the Elimination Chamber match. Hence, it will be a preview for the viewers of what is going to happen inside the Chamber structure.
