As reported earlier, WWE Raw will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the show in January. Stephanie McMahon confirmed the news on this past edition of Monday Night Raw after the surprise return. The show that was a brainchild of her father has been able to take the spot of being the longest-running weekly television show in the history. So, it deserves a grand celebration.

The special edition of WWE Raw will be held on January 22nd in the city of New York. People all around the world will be able to see the program live from two different arenas. It will be the first time where the flagship show will get hosted in two venues at the same time. As announced earlier, Barclays Center and the Manhattan Center (the first venue to host Raw) will be the place to be on that night.

There’s no doubt that WWE will throw a grand celebration on that night. However, since the show will emanate in two different venues, there’re some speculations going on about the format of the show. The Smackdown roster will also be present on the show, and any one of the brands are expected to perform in a secondary venue, Hammerstein Ballroom, probably.

It is likely that WWE Raw will compete at the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan Arena in an old-themed arena to pay tribute to the first-ever episode of the show. Smackdown, on the other hand, is supposed to perform at the main venue that is the Barclays Center.

Furthermore, there will be plenty of names that will be returning to WWE Raw. The Undertaker’s return to the 25th anniversary has been confirmed to take place, whereas, names like Kevin Nash, Ric Flair, Bret Hart, Mick Foley, Shawn Michaels have also been advertised. Check out further updates from WWE.com,

“Superstars from both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown LIVE will be at Barclays Center, while the event at Manhattan Center, the site of the first episode of Raw, will feature WWE Superstars competing, plus special appearances by WWE Legends The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels and Kevin Nash, among others. VIP packages, including a meet-and-greet with a WWE Legend, will be available for fans at Manhattan Center.”

The return of the Deadman has raised the stakes high for this particular edition. Considering that the Wrestlemania season will kick-off, we can expect him to be involved in a storyline so that one last match can take place featuring him.
