We officially entered into the new era of WWE, starting with Monday Night Raw. With Summerslam just 4 weeks away from us, we got an idea of how WWE is going to intend post-brand split era. From last night’s Tuesday Night Live we’ve got another championship between Dean Ambrose and the show-off, Dolph Ziggler.
The blue brand was totally repackaged with a new video package and theme song. WWE Universe has welcomed all these changes which were bound to happen. There are certainly no complaints either from the IWC except the fact that some think that Raw has more star power to it than the blue brand. They too should not be more concerned after the announcement made by WWE on the first edition of Smackdown Live in the new era.
The announcement showed the return of Shelton Benjamin to the home on Smackdown live. Here’s the official tweet and video made by WWE:

As reported by various websites, Shelton Benjamin and MVP, both were supposed to return to WWE, simultaneously. It was the former general manager of Smackdown, Teddy Long who met MVP in a wrestling show and was confirmed by him that MVP and Shelton are just waiting to get cleared by some routine medical check-ups by the WWE officials before signing a WWE contract.
Shelton Benjamin joined WWE in the year 2003 as Kart Angle’s protégé. Within a month of a span, he would go on to capture the tag team championship alongside Charlie Haas. He also was a former United States Champion and left WWE in the year 2010. In the meantime, he also performed in Ring of Honor, New Japan pro-wrestling, Pro-wrestling Noah etc.

If that’s not enough excitement for the WWE Universe they will witness the return of Brock Lesnar on this upcoming week’s Monday Night Raw. He is scheduled to take on Randy Orton at Summerslam on August 21st. Though, there’s been no confirmation yet for his advocate Paul Heyman’s appearance since his contract with WWE is over. Hopefully, things will be sorted out between him and WWE prior to the beast’s arrival on Raw.
