Lana may not be one of the best female wrestlers around WWE female locker room but she sure is quite popular around the WWE Universe. It was a travesty to witness WWE removing her from regular in-ring competition from 2018 onwards. Otherwise, “Lana is the best, Lana number one” is still quite a familiar chant around the shows hosted by WWE.

The Ravishing Russian was always quite vocal about WWE not utilizing her to the fullest extent. She has the same complaints about her husband Rusev, as well whom WWE barely used in the main event level. This is the reason the Total Divas couple was very much vocal about not being pleased about their WWE career. This leads to the inevitable question of whether they are intending to leave WWE in due course.
Lana recently appeared in an interview with 411 Wrestling Interview Podcast to disclose her views on different matters. It included topics like her favorite wrestling match in the WWE or when she could leave the company. She chose The Rock vs Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania 18 as the best match that WWE has ever produced.
Then the Total Divas Star noted on how long she intends to stay with the WWE. Quite contrary to her comments from social media handles, Lana went on to put over the company like a dependable superstar. She mentioned that this is what she loves doing on a regular basis. Hence, there’s no question of leaving it. She will continue doing it as long as the company will have her. Here’s more from her comments,
“That’s such a hard question. I love WWE so much. There is no greater love than the WWE Universe. I know we are in a love-hate relationship, but at least they feel passionate about me. They love me one second, then boo me the next. That’s what I love about the WWE Universe. They feel something strongly towards me and I’m very thankful for that. There is nothing more than the world to me than performing in front of the WWE Universe. So I would like to do it as long as I can. As long as they will have me.” H/T- 411 Wrestling Interview Podcast.
The gorgeous wife of Rusev debuted as an in-ring performer in 2017 Money in the Bank pay-per-view event. She competed against Naomi in her first match which was a title bout! An abrupt push came to an end after WWE officials agreed that she was not reliable as an in-ring talent. Thereafter, Lana went back to being a manager for Rusev like NXT or early WWE days. At present, WWE uses her on occasional basis whenever a multi-woman match happens. (e.g. women’s battle royals or Money in the Bank ladder match)
