WWE News: Jinder Mahal Wants To Face John Cena And Other Legends Following Backlash

Jinder Mahal win over Randy Orton at the Backlash PPV took the social media by storm. He went into the match as the underdog but ended up winning the WWE championship.
In the process, he was able to pin the 13-time world champion, Orton who is a living legend of the WWE.
Quite evidently the WWE Universe in India is going ga-ga over the accomplishment of Jinder in the company. It is after a decade that some from our country have been able to earn the most coveted prize in the sports entertainment industry. The first one to do so was The Great Khali back in the year 2007.
As we all know, WWE broadcasting team now consist of two Hindi commentators on their team for quite a while. The reaction from them following Jinder Mahal winning the title has already become quite famous in the social media. Check out it, here:

Meanwhile, WWE creative has quite a faith in Jinder’s capability of pulling out a bonafide heel’s role on Smackdown Live. Orton might be the most accomplished wrestler in the WWE locker room, right now. So, gaining the title from him is a dream achievement.
Going forward, Jinder vowed to Vince McMahon that he will keep doing better and better, every single week. The Boss kept his trust on the Indian wrestler and he intends to return him back with his performance.
As reported earlier, the Maharaja is bound to put India on the map of the pro-wrestling industry with his accomplishments. So, he is targeting the “face that runs the place”.
In an interview given following his title win, he expressed his desire to face none other than John Cena. Check out his words, here:
“I want to make everybody proud, just like everybody is proud of The Great Khali for being the champion, I want to be a great champion. I want to represent you guys (fans) in a good way and put on good matches. I just defeated Randy Orton, who is legendary in the business, so I want to beat guys like John Cena, more and more legends, and establish my name as one of the top names of all time in wrestling.”
Jinder Mahal concluded by thanking all the fans watching in India for supporting him. He felt proud to represent India and promised to do so.
