Kaitlyn vs AJ Lee is one of the most memorable rivalries in WWE. These two were part of the WWE Divas division in 2013. Back then, there were only a handful of names who could be significant on WWE TV. The women’s revolution was a long-time pending due to lack of proper female wrestlers on the roster.

These two brought some fresh air onboard by having a rivalry. We witnessed a mentionable championship storyline between Kaitlyn and AJ Lee. These two were part of the same NXT batch back in 2012. Later WWE brought them to the main roster and inserted into the championship storyline.

AJ and Kaitlyn were off-screen best friends. So they had wonderful chemistry while telling a story. Unfortunately, the storyline had to come to an abrupt halt since the latter decided to depart. Her contract with the WWE came to an end, and she decided not to re-sign with them.

A quite young career came to an end back in 2013. The following year witnessed the retirement of AJ Lee from the WWE that marked an end to a glorious career. AJ and WWE did not have a smooth relationship since then. We do know the bitterness of WWE with her husband, CM Punk.

So even if the fans want, she is not coming back anytime soon. Recently Chris Vin Vliet asked the same to her former buddy Kaitlyn on the same topic. She came up with an expected negative update,

“I don’t think so. But who am I to comment on that? I really don’t see that happening. She’s got so much other stuff that she’s got going on in her life. She’s an author now, and I don’t see that happening.”

The retirement of AJ also brought the topic of Kaitlyn taking early retirement, too. However, she found her way back to wrestling earlier this year. She has been over with the relationship with her former husband and now wants to focus on her wrestling career.

Chris asked her whether she regrets taking hiatus following 2013. It was her reaction to the question,

“Looking back I feel like I could have done so much more, but hindsight is always 20/20, right? I feel like I’ve grown tremendously in the last four and a half years as a person, as a wrestler and just in general.”

Kaitlyn will return on WWE TV, courtesy of Mae Young Classic. NXT would be the most appropriate address to continue the stint, after that.
