WWE News: Matt Hardy Reveals Whether The Hardy Boyz Will Be Back
We have not seen Matt Hardy on WWE TV for a long time. The reason behind his absence can be attributed to his brother Jeff Hardy who is dealing with a fatal injury. It was after Wrestlemania 35 when the doctors detected him with a knee concussion which led to surgery. This will keep the younger Hardy out of context for more than six months as we head into the fall of 2019. However, there’s no surety when WWE could arrange a storyline for him or both The Hardy Boyz.
With a long absence from TV, the speculations are running rampant whether we’ll ever be seeing the Hardy Boyz back as competitors. WWE remains concerned about superstars’ well-being. The way the two Hardyz have picked up injuries since the return, it’s hard to believe that would book them in the long-term perspective. But Matt Hardy sounded pretty confident about making a valiant comeback.

The Broken One recently had a sitdown with Inside the Ropes for discussing some of the ongoing issues. The host asked him about the team with his younger brother. He wanted to know if we have seen the last of them as a team or if it will happen again. The eight-time tag team champion seemed hopeful that it will happen someday, again, (courtesy sescoops.com)
“I mean I am sure we will do it (again). It’s obviously what we are most well known for. So I am sure that will happen. Anytime the Hardy Boys are together it’s a very special attraction and that’s what this industry lives all of nowadays to have special attractions.”
The former Hardcore Champion also opined about the competition that is about to begin between WWE and AEW. He stated that when it comes to global competition, no company can fight against the giant that WWE has become. But talking from a creative standpoint, the war between the companies can produce some quality contents as they will constantly try to best each other with whatever new means possible.
We’ll see whether The Hardy Boyz will be a part of that in due course. Recent updates suggest that Jeff Hardy could be back in November that is before Survivor Series. It should also mark the return of Matt Hardy on either of WWE’s main roster if the creative team continues to use them as a tag team.
