WWE News: Money In The Bank Winner Carmella Returning on Smackdown
Mar 1, 2018 at 4:19 PM
The first-ever Money in the Bank winner, Carmella has been absent from Smackdown Live for the last few weeks.
Ever since she made history by winning the briefcase back in last year’s June, we thought she would be the focal point on the women’s roster. James Ellsworth was attached to her working as a male valet which was supposed to elevate her potential.
But, actually, this has not been the case. She is nowhere to be found after Ellsworth departed WWE. Back in November 2017, WWE released him from the contract.
This did not favour the Princess of Staten Island, at all since she has literally lost in the storyline angles. Fans started wondering in recent times whether she would turn out to be the female version of Baron Corbin, at one point.
In the midst of all these speculations, Carmella will return to Smackdown Live, next week. She has already been booked in a match by virtue of a challenge made by one of the prime names present on the division of the blue brand. Later, it was officially announced.

A video was channelled on WWE’s Twitter handle that showed Carmella and Natalya discussing how Ruby Riott defeated Naomi. Being the two heels, they were in all awe of the heel faction.
Becky Lynch crossed paths with them and tweeted out that if anyone wants to see her slapping the face of Carmella.
Who would like to see Becky Lynch step in the ring with @Carmella and slap the head off her next week?

The challenge was accepted as the match was made official between Becky Lynch and Carmella. For the past few weeks, the storyline angles have been reserved around the Riott Squad and Charlotte Flair.
So, it is going to be a fresh feel when these two actually lock horns, next week. Previously, they had a short beef when Ellsworth was still available in the WWE.

Meanwhile, we hope this comeback on WWE TV will do some good to the character of the Money in the Bank winner.
Going forward, she should stay around the scene on a constant basis. Only then, she would be able to gain some momentums to cash in the contract, finally and become the champion.
