Enzo Amore won the Cruiserweight title back at the No Mercy PPV. He defeated The King of the Cruiserweights, Neville to grab the title. The former dominant champion was dethroned by a cheap move from Enzo who kicked in his groin while the referee was distracted.
Going forward, Enzo Amore featured in three consecutive main event segments on Monday Night Raw to bring the attention back to the Cruiserweight division. This was the sole reason for crowning him with the championship, and he delivered big-time. Also, he did make a heel-turn during this process and took numerous beatdowns from his fellow competitors.
On the latest episode of WWE Raw, Enzo was forced to compete in a championship match by the general manager, Kurt Angle. Due to Enzo’s demand, it was put into the main event segment where the champion faced, Kalisto, the newest member of the Cruiserweight division. Furthermore, the match was made a Lumberjack one with all the members from 205 Live surrounding the ring.
This was the first title defence for Enzo Amore who came out losing the contest. A brawl broke out around the ring giving the advantage to the Masked Luchador who connected with Salida Del Sol off the top rope to pick up a clean pinfall win and become the new Cruiserweight Champion.

Now, being the former title-holder, Enzo did deserve a rematch and invoked the clause following the 205 Live show. As announced on the Twitter handle of the WWE, Kalisto will defend his championship in a rematch against Enzo at the WWE TLC PPV. No clarification was made whether it will be contested in a different capacity or not.
This is quite a fresh line up in the Cruiserweight division, and the audience has the backup behind these two, as well. So, we can expect another exciting contest with the high-flying Kalisto and the heel Certified-G. The match will take place at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Before this, no singles contest took place between these two Cruiserweights. It was in 2015 when the team of Enzo and Big Cass who take on the team of Kalisto & Sin Cara, The Lucha Dragons to determine the number one contender for the NXT tag team titles.
