WWE News: Nia Jax Nearly Killed Charlotte During Their Match On Raw

In case you don’t know, Nia Jax (real name Savelina Fanene) is a cousin to the Rock. She belongs to the same Samoan family of Roman Reigns. It’s been merely three years that she started performing as a professional wrestler.
But, due to her dominance over the NXT athletes and the bigger size that she is, she was promoted to the main roster much sooner.
This might be the reason that she’s been under constant scrutiny of the WWE Creative. She is comparatively inexperienced from the other super female athletes that the WWE locker room has to offer. But, that did not stop her from doing more botches on live television. This time, her opponent got lucky that she did not hurt her, severely.
The unfortunate incident took place on the last edition of Monday Night Raw where Nia Jax competed in the match against the former Raw women’s champion, Charlotte. These two were brewing a short rift over their spots in the women’s division and hence were put into a match.
In the middle of the match, Nia went for a backbreaker to Charlotte. She completely botched the move and instead hit Charlotte’s head onto the mat. The bump was a nasty one as witnessed by the fans. It could have caused a broken neck or a legit concussion for the previous cornerstone of the Raw women’s division.

That was not it for the night, since she repeated her botch move, once again. Charlotte went for the top rope moon assault, which she is famous for. As you can see in the video, Nia completely failed to catch the move causing Charlotte to go head first into the floor. Both the moves were so dangerous that the fans in attendance smirked out on the spot.
WWE has strict rules when it comes to a move causing damage to head, neck or spinal cord. As we all know, several superstars including Edge, Daniel Bryan, Stone Cold and more were forced to retire due to the neck concussions.
Thankfully, Charlotte did not pick up an injury to give a sigh of relief to the creative. Although it was an accident, Nia just can’t escape the fact that she is still a rookie in comparison to the names with whom she shares the locker room.
