Sep 13, 2018 at 4:17 PM
AJ Styles will face Samoa Joe at Hell in a Cell PPV for the WWE Championship. The dream rivalry between these two veteran superstars started at Summerslam PPV. We did not get a proper outcome of the match, as it ended in a disqualified manner. It was just a beginning of the feud on Smackdown. So a rematch was evident to happen.
Just days later, WWE confirmed Samoa Joe would get his rematch against AJ Styles. It will take place at the Hell in a Cell PPV. The previous thinking was they might compete inside the steel structure in a completely different environment.
But now they will lock horns in a one-on-one singles contest. Meanwhile, we might have received a spoiler of this match.
Before coming to the point, we want to let you know AJ Styles will have to take on Samoa Joe one more time on October 6th. WWE is heading to Australia for the biggest live event in the history of the company. Some of the marquee matches are already official for this night. One of them is the WWE Championship match between these two Smackdown superstars.
WWE.com confirmed this match with the following comments,
“Will Styles be able to get the level of retaliation on The Samoan Submission Machine that he has been craving after all that Joe has said and done to his family? Or will The Phenomenal One’s anger prove to be pivotal, allowing Joe to strip away not only his composure but the WWE Championship as well?
Find out when WWE Super Show-Down takes place on Saturday, Oct. 6, from the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Australia, streaming live on the award-winning WWE Network.”
Going by the advertisement, it might be evident that Samoa Joe will win the title at Hell in a Cell. So AJ Styles will get his rematch at the Australia PPV, Super Show Down. Joe could win this match, too to close the chapter for good. He could move on to the next chapter of his championship reign. In fact, we will have a contender’s match at Super Show Down.
Daniel Bryan will take on The Miz for this spot. So one of them could become a new challenger for Samoa Joe. However, the current feud between Styles and Joe has reached to the maximum personal note. AJ Styles promised to take the heart out of Joe’s body the next time they meet. Such an intense feud should not end in an abrupt way.
Plus, the October 16th episode of Smackdown Live is advertising AJ Styles will defend his championship against Samoa Joe. So the fact is he should still be grabbing the most prestigious championship till then. It guarantees his victory at both Hell in a Cell and the Super Show Down PPV. It looks like the face that runs the place is heading to become the all-time greatest WWE Champion in the modern era.
