WWE News: Potential Reason Why Rhyno Was Fired From WWE Raw

WWE Raw is having the lowest of lows at this time without the least amount of content. The show has been more of a garbage for the last couple of weeks, as per some of the fans and critics. The absence of Roman Reigns from the scene is one of the key reasons behind that. Even his replacement i.e. Braun Strowman is out with injury, as well. This leaves a huge void on the roster that is yet to be filled.
In the midst of this, we have received one of the most emotional moments of 2018 on this week’s WWE Raw. A hardcore legend might have competed in his last match on mainstay programming of the WWE. We are talking about Rhyno whom Baron Corbin fired from the flagship show on this past Monday night. He was part of the tag team with Heath Slater for a long time.
That association came to an end as the acting GM of WWE Raw announced only one of them can stay on WWE Raw. He arranged a match between the two with the stipulation of ‘loser fired from Raw’. Slater put down his partner with a neckbreaker in a short length matchup. An illustrious career of Rhyno came to an end with that. The heartbreaking scene of the veteran leaving the show was perhaps the best moment of the December 3rd edition.
The question remains whether it was just a storyline angle or his contract with the WWE is coming to an end. The speculations from Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggested that it was an angle to write him off the TV. He will now work as a coach at the Performance Center. There are also rumors going on about Rhyno potentially working on the NXT scene for sometimes. In that case, his in-ring career is yet to get over.
Additional reports from PWInsider.com suggested that Rhyno is still set to be part of WWE’s South American tour. It’s a big indication that he is not leaving the company, anytime soon. Rather he will continue to be part of the roster without making an appearance inside the ring, perhaps.
