We have passed by the 29th annual Summerslam PPV which featured some epic matches. Brock Lesnar was up against WWE’s apex predator, Randy Orton to headline the main event of the show that left the ring with a pool of blood courtesy the beast, Brock Lesnar.

Orton was legitimately injured by Brock Lesnar during the match and the referee had no choice but to call off the match and hand Lesnar the win, via TKO. WWE has reported that Orton got busted open due to the elbow right into Orton’s head. He had to receive 10 stitches in his head following the match. Here’s WWE’s official statement.

“WWE.com has learned that Randy Orton has received 10 staples to close a laceration on his forehead following the brutal assault by Brock Lesnar that resulted in a TKO at SummerSlam.”

The turn of events pissed off both the WWE creative and the 15000 fans present inside the arena. Going total contrast of the PG era, Lesnar created havoc with blood in between TV tapings. It is also reported that Lesnar went too far and beyond the script while attacking his opponent. The main event was called off due to the real elbow from Lesnar to Orton.

With that being said, it is still not clear whether Brock Lesnar will show up this week on raw or not. The rumor mill suggests that this is WWE’s way to punish Lesnar with a legit reason i.e. laying Orton off within a pool of blood. If going by the backstage news, then Lesnar is probably going to be suspended tomorrow on Raw.

There’s no confirmed news, as of now regarding Orton, too whether he is medically cleared to compete or not. The Viper was unconsciousness for some moments after the right elbow from Lesnar.

Apart from that, WWE fans were pissed off with the abrupt end of the match. The nearly whole stadium was booing when Lesnar was leaving the arena after the match. They were expecting Goldberg and started chanting his name during the end segment. However, there are still plenty of chances of Goldberg showing up against Lesnar. Stay tuned for more updates.
