WWE has an enriched history with the Samoan Superstars. Over the years, this dynasty has ruled the yard just like the catchphrase of Roman Reigns. He is a proud third-generation member of this family who is representing WWE. Since the very beginning of his entry to this place, he was built to become a top superstar. Grooming sessions from his predecessors were must so that he can call himself the franchise player.

When it comes to carrying forward the tradition of Samoan family, there’s no one like Roman Reigns. If you have followed his tattoos closely then you must have realized that it has similarity with that of The Rock or The Usos. The inked right hand is a unique feature that they sport just to represent their family. In recent times, The Big Dog opened up on this and revealed his inspiration behind the inks.

During a recent interview with Inked Magazine, “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns paid tribute to Umaga for these arts on his hand. He mentioned that their big cousin and former WWE superstar was the one who inspires all of them to get tattoos. He is no more alive but his soul lives within these tattoos,

“It all revolves around our cousin Eki – Umaga. At the time, he was a big WWE Superstar and he passed away way too early, but he was the one that was the fuel behind us getting tatted up.

He had this lady back in Pensacola that was kind of hooking him up, giving him a little bit of a discount here and there, and he was getting a lot of work done at the time. He was just showing her different prints and trying to give her the heads-up of our culture, and the customs, and the patterns, and the sequences that kind of fit and how they mold together.”

When Roman Reigns got these tattoos done in his hand, he was a member of The Shield. He was on the road with WWE and got the least amount of time to heal the arm after getting through the pain it felt. So he shared the experience with all of the WWE Universe with the following quotes,

“When I did the arm I did it Wednesday, Thursday, and I was back out Friday. I literally flew out that Friday and was wrestling. We did a Shield six-man [tag team match] against Sheamus, John Cena, and Randy Orton, and at the time Sheamus was rough in there. It felt like he was killing my arm. I had to Saran-Wrap the whole arm and then throw Under Armor sleeve over it, and luckily it worked because, we were in the Shield, you know, the tactical outfits. But yeah – it was a crazy week, for sure.”

Teaming up with cousins, The Usos, Roman Reigns formed the faction named The Bloodline to feature in several WWE storylines. There have been talks of having a future angle featuring The Rock, as well. However, the latter’s busy WWE schedule did not aloe that to happen. We’ll see whether WWE can arrange it since rumors have that Wrestlemania 36 may host a contest between these two.
