WWE News: Roman Reigns & The Miz Sought Redemption Against Shane McMahon & Elias
The talk-show segment on WWE Raw allowed Roman Reigns and The Miz to finally get their hands on their respective opponents for Money in the Bank. The UK edition of the flagship show aired from the O2 Arena with this talk-show segment. It witnessed loud boos for Roman Reigns whereas chants were all over the place for Elias. Shane McMahon soon arrived on the ramp to cancel Miz TV! Elias and Bobby Lashley were waiting for his signal to pounce on the babyface stars to create a brawl.
Shane McMahon announced the opening contest of WWE Raw, after this. Roman Reigns and The Miz teamed up for the first time against Elias and Bobby Lashley. Miz fended off Elias’ attack with a DDT and sent Lashley shoulder-first into the ring post. Roman Reigns had a failed attempt to get the tag as Shane McMahon attacked him from behind.
Thus he caused disqualification to the match on WWE Raw. The trio pounced on The Miz until Roman Reigns took the aerial route to put them down. Miz attacked the heels with a chair in hand whereas Reigns delivered Superman Punches to Elias and Lashley. Shane McMahon had to retreat from the scene without having a choice.
Earlier the company tried to invest the fans into this week’s WWE Raw by announcing Roman Reigns’ return. For two consecutive weeks, The Big Dog has appeared on the flagship show of the company. The wild card rule is in full effect as WWE could use the franchise player of the company on both the weekly shows. Or else, Smackdown possessed him as earlier they claimed him, the biggest acquisition in the show’s history.
WWE.com announced the following segment indicating that a brawl may break out on the show,
“As Reigns aims to silence Elias at WWE Money in the Bank, Miz looks forward to being locked inside the steel with the disrespectful “Best in the World.” They’ll both have plenty to say when Reigns comes from SmackDown LIVE via the “Wild Card Rule” to appear on “Miz TV.”
Both Roman Reigns and The Miz are set for separate battles at Money in the Bank. From WWE Raw, Shane McMahon will compete against The Miz inside a steel cage. Roman Reigns will take on against Elias for the first time in the same pay-per-view event. Last night’s edition of WWE Raw provided a huge buildup for those bouts via the MIZ TV segment. We will witness whether any follow-up is in-store on from this on tomorrow’s Smackdown.
