Ronda Rousey has been on a hiatus ever since Wrestlemania 35 passed by. She already requested that from WWE officials after the show biggest show of the year was over. Additionally, she suffered an injured hand during the triple threat bout to that needed a sabbatical. We have mostly seen her on her Youtube channel throwing sporadic updates on her current life. But the former women’s champion recently made a public appearance to speak on a myriad of topics.

Potential Timeline When Ronda Rousey Will Return To WWE
It was one of her couple of post-Wrestlemania public appearances as Ronda Rousey sat down with UFC’s Megan Olivi. The interview mostly focused on the basic differences between WWE and UFC. Plus, the ‘baddest woman on the plant’ also opined on whether she preferred Mixed Martial Arts competition rather than pro-wrestling. She gave a positive nod being a UFC Hall of Famer.
Ronda Rousey To Become A Mother, Not Returning In WWE
Ronda Rousey chose the UFC 157 match against Liz Carmouche as the biggest match of her career over Wrestlemania main event. In case of the 2019 event, the stage was already set for her and the other two ladies. But back in 2013, she had the chip on her shoulder to prove the women’s MMA could actually be relevant,
“Yeah, it (WrestleMania) felt big. It’s just — I think it just has to do with the time and the perspective. Me and Liz Carmouche [at UFC 157] felt bigger to me. Even though it was years ago, and not as many people watched. It was at the Honda Center which holds maybe 16,000 to 20,000 compared to WrestleMania where it was in front of maybe 80,000 people and millions watching. I just felt me and Carmouche was the most pivotal moment had to happen that way or women’s MMA would have ended before it started.” (courtesy EWrestlingNews.com)
The former UFC Bantamweight Champion added that Wrestlemania already had the arrangements to make the match look exciting. As for UFC 157, it was up to her to make it a successful show. Above all of them, Ronda Rousey had to win a real fight unlike the scripted environment in the WWE,
“With WrestleMania, it just felt like all the stars were aligned and the whole universe was conspiring for us to succeed and there was not a single doubt in my mind that we would. For Carmouche, there were so many outside factors: the numbers had to do well, I had to win the match, but I had to win the match in an exciting way, and there were so many other factors I had to worry about.”
The last time Ronda Rousey appeared on WWE TV was at Wrestlemania 35. Prior to that night, she has one last segment on Monday Night Raw that perhaps was the best segment of 2019. The main-event trio featured in a backstage brawl where police arrested them. The ‘shock value’ moment of the segment was when she shattered a police car’s glass. The script did not direct her to do so but she went ahead to do it. It was good to hear an honest confession from her that was actually a shoot to WWE writers, possibly.
