Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and Ronda Rousey competed in a triple threat title match at Wrestlemania 35. It was a historic match where both WWE Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships were on the line. For the first time ever, three women superstars competed in the Wrestlemania main event spotlight. The outcome of the match has been able to please the fans.
The match witnessed a strange finish where Becky Lynch created history by becoming the first-ever dual women’s champion. She pinned Ronda Rousey by countering Piper’s Pit into an inside flip to have the pinfall win. It was the first time ever that the former Raw women’s champion suffered a pinfall loss on WWE programming and thereby walked into a hiatus.
The backstage report is much negative around this match that may have witnessed a botched finish. Many of the sources supported the idea that Charlotte Flair will be the one to suffer the pinfall against Becky Lynch and thereby protecting Ronda Rousey from a pinfall loss. Ultimately the plan did not work out as the former champ was the one who had the shoulders down.
According to fightful.com, Ronda Rousey was furious following the Wrestlemania 35 main event. She was angry owing to some reason as stated by the source. It could be for the botched finish where the referee had to save her from losing the match. Or it could be due to her injured hand that happened after he competitors dumped her into the floor. This is the main reason why she is not present in the scene.
However, the finish could be due to a rematch between Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch which is purely speculation at this point. WWE has also did not confirm the much-talked injury that now leads us to very interesting news from backstage. Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful.com added that Ronda Rousey did not suffer any injury at Wrestlemania rather entered the show with it,
“The match was worked out ahead of time, and WWE cameras actually filmed Rousey, Charlotte Flair, and Becky Lynch preparing for it. Rousey had to battle through a big cut on her leg from last week, which required over a dozen stitches.”
If this is the case then Ronda Rousey has been able to prove herself as the baddest woman on the planet. It’s not easy to perform in a historic Wrestlemania main event match with an injury that the former champ made possible. She deserved the time-off more than anybody on the roster.
