WWE News: Rules Of The 2018 Men’s Elimination Chamber Match Revealed

WWE is hyping up this year's Elimination Chamber PPV as the biggest one in the history of the company. For the first time ever, we will witness the women's Chamber matchup

WWE is hyping-up this year’s Elimination Chamber PPV as the biggest one in the history of the company. For the first time, we will witness the women’s Chamber matchup with the championship at stake. Alexa Bliss will defend the title against five other superstars in the match from the WWE Raw women’s division.

Although the men’s division matchup is not something new, there’s a certain change which makes this contest for the first time, as well. Over the years, we have seen six participants competing in this hellacious structure made of steel chain. This will mark for the first-time ever that seven men would compete inside it.

The seven men announced for the match are John Cena, Roman Reigns, Elias, The Miz, Seth Rollins, Braun Strowman and Finn Balor. The winner of the contest will become the number one contender for the Universal Championship. This will send the winner, an opportunity to challenge Brock Lesnar over the title at Wrestlemania 34.

Now, ever since the seven participants were announced in this match, the speculations regarding the rules of this match are going rampant. We have never seen a seven-man match, before this. So, it was expected that a new rule would be applied to contain seven superstars inside the match.

According to the official update from the WWE commentators, there will be four superstars locked inside the chambers which will leave three outside of it. Hence, the match will start in a triple threat manner instead of the singles contest. We do know that The Miz will start the match. With him, there will be two more stars entering at number 2 and 3.

It is evident that the odds will be highly stacked against these three superstars who will enter the fray, first. The other rules of the match would remain same. The locked superstars would be released to the match in a time gap of five minutes making the match a fatal-4-way or a fatal-5-way unless eliminations occur.

It is also to be noted that that the last one to enter the match would be Elias who got the shot by winning a triple threat match on WWE Raw.  Currently, none other than Roman Reigns is the favorite one to win the Elimination Chamber match and face the beast incarnate.
