There’s a lot going around Sasha Banks and her WWE status over the past few weeks. She has not shown up in work ever since Wrestlemania 35 passed by throwing tantrums. As we have reported earlier, she was not happy after dropping the women’s tag team championship belts to The IIconics. She was so depressed with WWE’s move after which thought of leaving the company, as well. However, the situations seem to be much smoother between the two parties for now.

WWE to remove Sasha Banks from TV?
Furthermore, WWE has Sasha Banks under their contract for multiple years to come. So there’s no choice for her to come back unless her WWE deal could go freeze which means she could not go to wrestle somewhere else, too. WrestleVotes revealed last year that The Boss has signed a new multi-year contract with the company. This means she will have to spend at least a couple of years before the current deal expires. Hence, it will force her to show up at work unless WWE releases her.
Being a good merchandise mover, there’s no way that Vince McMahon and Co. will let her go that easy. Rather, chances are high at this point that Sasha Banks should come back in time for Money in the Bank PPV or on the show itself. Brad Shepard reported on Oh, You Didn’t Know Podcast that WWE does expect her to return by May 19th i.e. the day of the upcoming pay-per-view. She may show up in a surprising capacity in the blue brand.
Here’s what the source has stated, (courtesy ringsidenews.com)
“Sasha is scheduled to return to SmackDown Live before Money in the Bank. Whether they have something for her or not is still not clear. If they don’t have something for her it’s still possible they could give her a bit more time to cool off.”
One of the main reason behind WWE not moving back Sasha Banks on Raw would be a certain beef with certain superstars on the roster. Specifically, names like Alexa Bliss and Corey Graves could be the one who has open issues with the former women’s champion. Rather, bring her into the blue brand will keep her close to Bayley as well as put the four-horsewomen superstars on the same brand. We’ll see in the future whether returns on Smackdown or stays out of WWE programming.
