WWE News: Sasha Banks Revealed Who See Wants to See in Royal Rumble Match

WWE confirmed the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble match with a live TV announcement by Stephanie McMahon. Whenever the Raw commissioner arrives on WWE TV, business gets picked up and this time too, her appearance on the December 18th episode was for a reason. In the final slot of the show, she announced that a first-ever Royal Rumble match will be hosted at the first dual-brand PPV of 2018.

This is definitely a history-altering decision made by the world’s biggest pro-wrestling promotion. They have been working tirelessly to break the barrier between the men and women’s division by constantly handing gimmick matches to the female superstars. As part of this tradition, they have competed in Hell in a Cell, No Disqualification, Falls Count Anywhere and Ladder matches in the past. Now, they will look forward to main event Wrestlemania by heading into the Rumble match.

Since this is the first of such matchup in the history of pro-wrestling, WWE would definitely try to make the moments worth the watch with a plethora of surprising names from NXT roster. They would also try to bring at least a couple of former veteran names who showed up for WWE, previously.

Recently, one of the cornerstones of the WWE Raw women’s division, Sasha Banks had a sit down with the NBC Sports where she was asked about her choices of the surprise entries in the first-ever Royal Rumble match. Letting her intentions know to win the prestigious match, The Boss quoted the following, (courtesy wrestlingINC.com)

“I would love to hear Trish Stratus’ music. Of course Lita, Molly Holly, Jazz, Jacqueline, man even Victoria. It would be an honor to be in the ring with any of those girls. Beth Phoenix. Of course, I want to win it, but at the same time, I would just want her to pick me up and throw me over the top.

I would mark out, but I would land on my hands and go back into the ring like Kofi Kingston [Laughs]. Any of those girls would be incredible, but of course I would love to see girls from NXT get the opportunity, but of course, they wouldn’t win it because I would be the last person standing.”

It is expected that one of the surprising entries rather than a regular roster member would certainly win this match featuring the women to make it a memorable affair. This would also help the creative team to create a strong storyline around the championship and deliver a worthy title match at Wrestlemania 34.
