Many would have expected to see The Bella Twins back in the WWE during Wrestlemania 35 season. There’s a big void present on Smackdown Live as the two leading women superstars are gunning for the Raw women’s division championship. So it was likely that those two might have come back to grace the biggest event of the year.
Nikki Bella gets into a new relationship
Bella Twins will not return to Total Divas next season
But the Bella Army might have received a shocker on Sunday night’s episode of Total Bellas. Following that show, it looks like both the Bella Twins are over with their in-ring career. Brie Bella was the first one to admit so a few weeks ago. Surprisingly, Nikki Bella followed her footsteps.
On the season finale of Total Bellas, the elder of the Bella Twins has announced that she is hanging up her boots. It happened after the match at Evolution pay-per-view against Ronda Rousey. She worked for some time in the European live tour of WWE following that show. But that was it for the former Divas Champion.
In a family dinner thrown by the Bella clan, Nikki Bella dropped the bombshell of retirement that shocked every one of the WWE Universe. No further official confirmation is available from the Bella Twins in this regard. Below are the comments from the longest reigning Divas Champion in the history of WWE while discussing the European tour at the end of 2018,
“but I just feel like I’m too old for that travel. That travel was really, really rough. So I realized, I was like, ‘Why am I doing this anymore?’ I don’t feel good and I can’t — I mean, the girls are doing amazing things over there. I really am ready to hang up the jersey.”
Being the entrepreneur that Bella Twins are, they have already taken a step to move forward in their career. They will now start hosting their own podcast. They have provided the links to listen to the first episode, as well. As for real-life Nikki Bella has jumped into a new relationship with Artem Chigvintsev.
Brie Bella, on the other hand, is ready to embrace motherhood, once again. She and Daniel Bryan already talked about baby number two which will finally be happening now that she is never going back to wrestling. Brie does not want lengthy age-gap with Birdie and the next one coming,
“I know a couple of months ago I told you I wasn’t ready for baby number two because I have a lot on my plate,” she said. “But I’ve been thinking about it a lot and I think the comeback really made me realize that I am actually ready. And I do want Birdie and our next baby to be close in age.”
