WWE News: The Creative Is Very High On Carmella And The Welcoming Committee

Many might not be happy with the latest condition of the Smackdown women’s division, but the WWE creative is not.
There’s a reason behind creating the Welcoming Committee and letting them dominating the division. This was the only way they could have prevented the very predictive Charlotte vs. Naomi program on the show.
The faction was the brainchild of the veteran Natalya who wanted to join forces with Tamina and Carmella to stop Charlotte from getting more women’s championship opportunity. Apparently, they are successful in doing so by making a six-woman tag team match at Backlash rather than Charlotte chasing Naomi for the title.
The secondary reason behind the heel faction getting a push is Carmella. The writers of the show are pretty high on her and it might be a matter of time before she gets a championship push.
The process has already begun with Carmella pinning the champion on last night’s Smackdown Live. Courtesy to the distraction provided by her pals, she rolled Naomi up to pick up the major victory over the titleholder.
Following the show, she along with her partner, James Ellsworth was demanding a title shot which will be granted to her, soon. According to the latest reports, a title program will soon begin between Carmella and Naomi following the Backlash PPV.
The Princess of Staten Island was the initial choice to win the Smackdown women’s championship at Wrestlemania to start the aforesaid program. She would win the title to drop two days later on Smackdown Live to stretch it, further. But, the plans were abandoned at the very last moment.
However, she kept on impressing the creative with her work ethics on a constant basis which might earn her the gold, pretty quick. She is also the one who is working sans her boyfriend, Big Cass who is on Raw.
Recently, she appeared on Lillian Garcia’s podcast to discuss the exact reason why Triple H thought her to go solo on the blue brand. These were her quotes:
“When Hunter told me he said the reason why you’re not going with them is because you have the ability to make it on your own, you’re not just a hype girl for Cass and Enzo. You’re not, I see more in you, you have more potential and you’re gonna be fine on your own.”
Now that, she has proven her ability in singles competition, it’s just a matter of time that she becomes a monstrous heel on the roster. This is much needed on Smackdown now that Alexa Bliss has moved to Monday Night Raw.
