Wrestlemania is always considered to be that special event where most of the pro-wrestling superstars dream to be a part. It is the showcase of immortals where benchmark performers arrive to display their talents. All the championships are put on the line and this year is going to be no exception.
Most of the title matches have already finalised including the WWE, Universal, Intercontinental and the Smackdown women’s championships. The rest of the match card will be declared soon as we are just weeks away from the biggest event of the year. Two more matches are likely to be finalized in the upcoming WWE programming.
According to a report from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the United States Championship match is going to be contested in a triple threat capacity. Furthermore, the competitors of the Cruiserweight Championship has also been revealed. A tournament for the same is being hosted on the 205 Live show, weekly.
Randy Orton has become the new United States Champion at the Fastlane PPV. Bobby Roode lost his title and became frustrated. So, he went right after the champion to exercise the rematch clause which gives an automatic shot to the title at Wrestlemania.
But Jinder Mahal is in the title picture, as well, for the past few weeks. In the last two consecutive weeks, the former WWE Champion defeated both Randy Orton and Bobby Roode in singles matches. These wins came in a clean pin way. Hence, all three of them are likely to lock horns in a triple threat championship match.
The source also hinted about the potential Cruiserweight Championship match at Wrestlemania. Cedric Alexander is likely to compete against Mustafa Ali for the title. The tournament that is being hosted on the 205 Live show has reached its last legs and is set to witness a proper culmination at the biggest event of the year.
We were informed that the original planning for the finale of the tournament was always planned between Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali. Hence, Alexander defeated Roderick Strong to advance to the finale, last week. The other semi-final match will witness Mustafa Ali competing against Drew Gulak on the next episode of 205 Live. Going by the source, Ali will win this match on Tuesday Night to get added to the title match.
