Arindam Paul / 05 January 2018

Ever since the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble match got confirmed by Stephanie McMahon on WWE Raw, the social media was taken by storm. The fans, current superstars and the former names from the pro-wrestling industry started to express their feelings about this path-breaking match that is bound to change the history of the women’s division.

Meanwhile, some of the fake posters are doing around this Royal Rumble match. Previously, Becky Lynch of the Smackdown roster has posted a picture on her Twitter account of a customised poster for the Rumble event that featured Ronda Rousey in the background. Now, the fans took less time to notice this and started another speculation that perhaps the former UFC Bantamweight Champion will be a part of this match.

However, later it was clarified that the poster was completely fake. At this point, no such deal has been confirmed between WWE and Ronda Rousey. Even if the MMA competitor wants to perform in a WWE match, it will be at Wrestlemania and not earlier to that time span. There’s been a talking between the two parties for a contract signing which might come to fruition shortly.

Getting back to the first-ever Royal Rumble match, we are yet to know the details around it, till date. The WWE officials might be planning more on it, and will declare it shortly. However, Bryan Alvarez from Wrestling Observer Newsletter has posted some insider scoops about this upcoming match. Check out the updates, here, (courtesy SportsKeeda.com)

“According to Alvarez, every RAW and SmackDown Live superstar who’s not a champion (basically Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair) will be a part of this historic match in 2018. There will also be NXT superstars who will be called up to bolster the ranks.”

It was also notified that the called-up NXT female superstars would not be drafted to the main roster, for sure. It will be only a one-off night for them to fill up the Royal Rumble match. They will go back to NXT following the contest. Additionally, we can expect some of the big returns from former women’s division to make this match more than interesting and one of the most memorable affairs of 2018.
