There’s plenty of room left for the Summerslam 2019 match card as we are less than ten days away from the show. The go-home edition of WWE Raw and Smackdown Live will take place on this upcoming week to fill up the card making it a stacked one. As of now, four more matches are likely to make their way to the event set for August 11th.

“The IIconics will defend their championships in a Fatal-4-way against Nikki Cross & Alexa Bliss, Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville and also the fourth team which is Kairi and Asuka,” informed Dave Meltzer. He also noted that Rose and Deville were ready to face the Iconics on Smackdown television, this week but the match never came to be. Billie Kay had been suffering from a ‘puppy fever’ to cancel the match. the real reason for cancellation is that WWE has big plans around these titles at the biggest event of the summer.
If this match happens at Summerslam then it will be first pay-per-view title defense for The IIconics since they won the belts from Sasha Banks and Bayley at WrestleMania 35 in another Fatal 4 Way. Plus, it is going to be a second-only title match for them on TV indicating how much the creative team has neglected these two. Their only other title match happened on the June 17 Raw, a win over Bliss and Cross.

Another match will be official during this upcoming Tuesday’s WWE 205 Live episode as Drew Gulak will have to defend the WWE Cruiserweight Title against Oney Lorcan. The Observer also reported that Drew McIntyre vs. Cedric Alexander will happen at Summerslam alongside various WWE 24/7 Title activities on the show. There’s been no news on how a pregnant Maria Kanellis will be defending her title at the second biggest show of the year.
Ali vs. WWE Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura should also happen at Summerslam now that Ali has a win over the champion. There’s no word yet on what Raw Tag Team Champions Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson or SmackDown Tag Team Champions Big E and Xavier Woods might be doing at Summerslam.
Two more matches are also the pipeline, reportedly for Summerslam. Goldberg is returning to take on Dolph Ziggler whereas Roman Reigns is likely to face Daniel Bryan in a mega match.
