WWE News: Update On Becky Lynch’s Mysterious Absence From Smackdown
Nov 5, 2016 at 1:47 PM
Becky Lynch is having quite a tough time both in and outside the ring. She is the only woman in the NXT’s so-called Four Horsewomen who has not held the NXT Women’s championship. She was called into the main roster along with Charlotte & Sasha Banks but held the Women’s title much later.
As she was chosen the first draft pick of Smackdown Live, she rightfully became the first-ever Smackdown Women’s champion at Backlash. But, unfortunately, she never defended the title to prove her legacy in the locker room. At the No Mercy PPV, she was set to defend the title against Alexa Bliss but due to some mysterious injury reason, she was not able to do the same. WWE did not given any particular update regarding her absence until she returned this past week on Smackdown.

Becky Lynch appeared in a Comic Con festival held in Tulsa, Oklahoma and faced the media. She was asked about her exact injury and how she is feeling right now. She did not give an exact reason either but she did say that she has “something removed” from her body. Becky also added she is feeling much better now and is all set to defend her title against Alexa Bliss. The match will take place on the November 8th edition of Smackdown at Glasgow, Scotland.
For some unknown reasons, WWE has never disclosed the injury that forced Becky to stay away from the ring for the past few weeks. Becky also admitted she did not hope to be sidelined from the ring for so long. Doctors did not allow her to do so. While speaking to Rob Leighs of Talking Sports, she commented, “I had to go to the ER, but it is all good, I got better within a few days. I wanted to be back on the road because they kept me out a little bit longer. I just wanted to get back in there as soon as possible.”
