WWE is over with the Superstar Shakeup edition of 2019 and will now focus on rebuilding the storyline angles. It is a fresh-off start in the programming following Wrestlemania with new superstars from different brands. So the creative team will not get a better opportunity to put things for a scratch for any superstar they want. This brings us to the debut of a new faction.
As for now, the rumor mill suggests that WWE might be looking forward to bring a new stable on WWE Raw. It will be a way to fill up the voids left after a number of existing factions fell apart after the Superstar Shakeup. Tag teams like The Riott Squad, SAnitY or Bobby Roode-Chad Gable found their partners in the opposite brands that may have left a huge gap according to the officials.
So they are trying to get together three superstars on Raw to counter the absence of a particular group on Monday Night Raw. According to a report by PWInsider.com, WWE could be looking to put together a stable of Andrade, Rey Mysterio, and Sin Cara over on the flagship show. They might start acting like a counterpart of The Shield now that they have gone their separate ways following their split up.
It may have not been just a co-incident that Rey Mysterio and Andrade landed on the same roster, once again. During Superstar Shakeup, they both arrived on Raw from Smackdown. Now with this report from the reliable source, the earlier reports of Rey Mysterio forming a faction could become true. He will get two of his countrymen under his wings, in this case.
All three of Andrade, Rey Mysterio, and Sin Cara comes from the Mexican culture. Even Zelina Vega, the valet of Andrade comes from the same background that already planted a seed for the future faction. With Rey Mysterio in charge, this group could become a popular babyface faction among the WWE Universe. Furthermore, it will serve the Mexican fanbase as well in the future.
There could be one constraint while forming this faction on Raw which is the character of Andrade. This man plays the role of a bonafide villain whereas Rey Mysterio is a universal babyface superstar. They have featured in a long feud over the fall of 2018 as well as at the beginning of this year. So it will be interesting to see how WWE creative brings these two names on the same page. The faction can send Andrade to the main event scene, really quick.
