The former member of WWE Women’s roster, Eva Marie made her presence felt on Smackdown Live during the brand extension draft.
Initially, she began her run on the main roster in the year 2013. But, due to her in-ring inabilities, she was sent back to the NXT to pull off some better moves so that she could be used on either Raw or Smackdown.
She was not able to improve her technical skills even after spending a lot of time in the developmental territory. Clearly, it handed her a lot of natural heats from the fans. Plus, she used to act like a born heel which was suitable for her character. So, WWE Creative team saw a lot of potential in her. It was evident that she was supposed to get a major push after debuting on the roster on Smackdown Live.
Apparently, the officials might have agreed to make her the women’s champion on Smackdown Live, as well. Belts revealed it by Dan user on Reddit who said that WWE had ordered a custom made Women’s championship belt for the “All-red everything” Diva which means that she was on the verge of getting a huge push before the Summerslam 2016.
But, before the event, she suffered a Wellness Policy Violation to get herself out of the company and then went on to create a further rift. It never allowed her to be back on board for one year until she was released from her contract, last month.
The source is quite popular on the social media platform since he gives updates with WWE and other promotion’s championship belts. In his latest post, he spoke about the changes in NXT titles, ROH and GFW belts and the possibility of seeing newer versions of the United States and Intercontinental Championship belts.
While speaking on these topics, he went on to reveal that, WWE ordered side plates for Eva Marie as part of the first batch, following the draft. He also disclosed the looks of it which are as follows:
“They are plain, red background with EVA in big black letters, and MARIE in smaller letters enclosed within a black box.”
If handled properly, Eva Marie might turn out to be the next big thing in WWE. But, lack of planning and in-ring inability wiped out that scenario forcing her to leave the company.
