Mandy Rose originally hoped for a great celebration night during the latest episode of WWE NXT in honor of her lengthy title reign. But in a changed circumstance, not only her big moment was ruined but she was also booked for her next title defense, out of nowhere.
As seen on the November 1 episode of NXT, Alba Fyre interrupted Mandy Rose’s celebration of one year as the reigning NXT Women’s Champion. In the middle of the segment, smoke filled the ring and Alba Fyre came out of it to attack all three members of Toxic Attraction. Fyre put away Rose and Jacy Jayne before putting Gigi Dolin through a table.
Mandy Rose and Jayne quickly escaped to ringside after which Fyre took the mic and announced that she will get her title rematch against Rose in two weeks, on the November 15 episode of NXT. In addition, Fyre will also face another member of Toxic Attraction, Jacy Jayne during next week’s episode of NXT that’s on November 8 episode.
WWE NXT: Title Match And More Announced For November 8 Episode
Mandy Rose has seen success with NXT Women’s Title reign
It should be noted that Rose’s most recent title defense was against Fyre at the NXT Halloween Havoc 2022 event. Fyre was this close to winning the title but Dolin and Jayne got involved in the match and ruined the opportunity for the former NXT UK Women’s Champion.
Mandy Rose became the NXT Women’s Champion at Halloween Havoc 2021 edition when she defeated Raquel Gonzalez in a Trick Or Street Fight match after help from the returning Dakota Kai.
Apart from retaining against Fyre at Halloween Havoc 2022, she has also defended her title against the likes of Zoey Stark, Dakota Kai, IYO SKY, Cora Jade, Roxanne Perez, and Wendy Choo. Besides, she unified the NXT and NXT UK Women’s Title by defeating former NXT UK Women’s Champion Meiko Satomura and Blair Davenport in a Triple Threat at NXT Worlds Collide in September.
The NXT Women’s Championship is the only title that Mandy Rose has held in her WWE career. Shayna Bazler and Asuka are the only two WWE Superstars to have held the title longer than her. Baszler held the title for 416 days while Asuka is the longest-reigning champion for 501 days.
