Mandy Rose is just days away from toppling Charlotte Flair in terms of the latter’s two combined reigns in just one reign. She is also inching closer to ringing in the one-year anniversary of her title reign but before that, she attended the one-year anniversary of the NXT 2.0 brand, last night to possibly receive her next title match challenger.
During the September 13 episode of WWE NXT, Alba Fyre interrupted Toxic Attraction’s (WWE NXT and NXT UK Women’s Champion Mandy Rose, Gigi Dolin, and Jacey Jayne) in-ring segment before throwing a challenge to Rose.

Obviously, Jacey Jayne and Gigi Dolan tried to deliver a sneak attack on her but Fyre used her baseball bat and scared them out of the ring, using it. She then proceeded to plant Mandy Rose with a thunderous Gory Bomb finisher. Fyre prepared to do more damage to Rose but the Toxic Attraction members pulled the champion out of the ring and took her to safety.
This isn’t the first time that Mandy Rose shared the ring with Alba Fyre. Rose had previously defeated Fyre in February when the latter still going by the name of Kay Lee Ray. The former NXT UK Women’s Champion was still a newcomer to the NXT 2.0 brand. They have also been part of the Fatal-4-Way Match over Rose’s title at NXT Stand And Deliver on April 2.

Alba Fyre could be a legit threat to Mandy Rose
Over the past several months, Fyre has been repackaged on WWE programming. Since May, she has not lost any singles matches, defeating NXT stars like Amari Miller, Elektra Lopez, Tatum Paxley, Lash Legend, and Indi Hartwell in recent months. That being said, Fyre could be presented as a legit threat to the champion.
Mandy Rose has become the unified NXT and NXT UK Women’s Champion at Worlds Collide. She previously had successful title defenses against challengers such as Blair Davenport, Meiko Satomura, Zoey Stark, Roxanne Perez, Ivy Nile, Dakota Kai, and more.
WWE hasn’t confirmed Mandy Rose vs. Alba Fyre title match but it’s likely that the next NXT premium live event, Halloween Havoc set for October 22 should host the match. A year ago, this was the same event where she defeated Raquel Rodriguez to win the NXT Women’s Championship.
