Moving on from Halloween Havoc, WWE NXT Deadline will be the next stop for the developmental territory of the company. But with a month remaining for the show, the weekly episodes of NXT will continue to bring the best action on the USA Network, every Tuesday night.

This week was no different as a big title match over WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles was scheduled to cap the night off. Nikkita Lyons and Zoey Stark challenged the champions, Katana Chance and Kayden Carter in a traditional tag team bout over the titles. This came after the original title match decision was reversed by the referee.

In their second chance for the title, Stark appeared to have gained the upper hand, attempting to hit Chance with a forearm strike. Chance dodged the move resulting in an almost collision between Stark and Lyons. As Chance and Carter hit a double superkick at the duo, Lyons saved Stark and digested it all by herself. This allowed Carter and Chance to gain the pin-fall win to retain WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships.

Once the main event was over, Lyons and Stark were handing the title belts over to the champions when Stark struck her partner in the face head with one of the belts to turn heel. She delivered an attack to lay her down on the mat to end the show. “You ruin everything for me!” Stark screamed at Lyons before delivering a kick to her face and thereby ending their tag team pair.

WWE NXT: Frustrations boiled for Zoey Stark

As noted above, the duo originally won WWE NXT women’s tag titles on October 25, but due to an illegal tag, their victory was reversed, and the title match was restarted where the reigning champions Katana Chance and Kayden Carter went on to retain after hitting a 450 Splash to pin Lyons.

Then last week on WWE NXT November 1 episode, Stark battled Indi Hartwell in a singles contest, but she was inadvertently distracted by talking to Lyons who was standing at ringside. The momentary conversation allowed Indi to pick up the pin-fall win over Stark. It’s certain that she was still mad at how things went down between her and Lyons as she decided to vent out frustrations with this heel turn.
