Card for the next NXT specials, that is WWE NXT Stand & Deliver is gradually shaping up on the weekly shows. A Ladder Match for the WWE NXT North American Title will be on the card of the show that takes place during the WrestleMania 38 Weekend.
In the main event of this week’s NXT 2.0, NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes retained his title over Pete Dunne in a singles contest. After the match, Hayes said that he’s taking his title to WWE NXT Stand & Deliver to defend it in a Ladder Match. This was supposedly a tribute to the way the title came to the NXT programming.
Hayes did not exactly reveal or elaborate the exact plans for WWE NXT Stand & Deliver Ladder Match planned for the 2022 edition, but in his promo, he was referring to the NXT “Takeover: New Orleans” event on April 7, 2018, where the title became a reality. On that night, a six-man Ladder Match took place to crown the inaugural NXT North American Champion. Adam Cole was the debut titleholder by defeating EC3, Lars Sullivan, Ricochet, Killian Dain, and The Velveteen Dream.

Tony D’Angelo will be in action at WWE NXT Stand & Deliver 2022
In more news from WWE NXT Stand & Deliver 2022 edition, Tony D’Angelo has announced that he will also be in action at the upcoming show.
During last night’s NXT 2.0 episode, a new vignette aired with D’Angelo from an outside place, possibly at a dock. He said he has his eyes on WWE NXT Stand & Deliver where he will steal the spotlight. D’Angelo also mentioned how he has his eyes on his next opponent but he did not specifically name an opponent. He then declared to become a “made man” at the NXT show while his opponent will sleep with the fish. It’s possible that he was referring to Dexter Lumis as he previously taunted Lumis with a dead fish.
Via this storyline, D’Angelo made his first appearance on NXT since losing to Pete Dunne in the Weaponized Steel Cage match at NXT Vengeance Day on February 15.
To date, no matches have officially been confirmed for WWE NXT Stand & Deliver but last week, NXT Champion Bron Breakker has stated that he will be in action with his championship on the line. It’s supposed that a better idea about his opponent will be received after the NXT Roadblock episode, next Tuesday where Breakker will defend against Dolph Ziggler and Tommaso Ciampa in a Triple Threat.
WWE NXT Stand & Deliver is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 2 from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. This is going to be a live WWE Specials on Peacock and the WWE Network, with a special start time of 12 pm ET. WrestleMania 38 Night One will go down on that same night just a few hours later on the same platform.
