WWE NXT TakeOver Stand And Deliver: Multiple Title Matches Announced

WWE NXT TakeOver: Stand And Deliver is going to be the next pay-per-view event from the black and yellow brand. For the first time ever, this event will be a two-night show to go down over April 7th and 8th. The two-night event will swirl between USA Network and Peacock. Now, WWE has booked a huge main event for one of those two nights.

Finn Balor kicked off this week’s WWE NXT to cut a promo on last week’s confrontation with Karrion Kross right after the successful title defense against Adam Cole. He was eager to volunteer a title match to Kross to determine who the true champion is between the two of them.

So he accepted the indirect challenge in order to book the first title match of WWE NXT TakeOver. Finn Balor will defend his NXT Title against Karrion Kross for the Stand And Deliver night. Kross had to relinquish the NXT Title as he injured his shoulder just after winning it from Keith Lee back in May, last year. Now he gets the opportunity to win that belt back.

Cruiserweight Championship match set for WWE NXT TakeOver

NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar also laid down a challenge to Jordan Devlin to compete in a title match at WWE NXT TakeOver: Stand And Deliver. This challenge was accepted by a cheap shot from Devlin. Afterward, it was noted that Escobar vs The Irish Ace will indeed go down at the two-night PPV event. It stands that there will only be one Cruiserweight Champion for both NXT and NXT UK brands, after this match.

Devlin was Cruiserweight Champion before the pandemic. But he couldn’t travel to the US during the pandemic and during that time, Santos Escobar ended up being the interim champion. So their unfinished business will be settled at the upcoming WWE NXT TakeOver.

This week’s NXT show saw Tommaso Ciampa defeat Marcel Barthel in a singles match. Ciampa attacked Barthel and Fabian Aichner with a steel chair before the match went underway. WALTER came out on the stage after the match. Ciampa was attacked after the match as the segment ended with a powerbomb from WALTER in the middle of the ring.

Imperium stood tall over Ciampa to indicate that Ciampa vs. WALTER may go down at the WWE NXT Takeover: Stand and Deliver event during WrestleMania 37 Week. WWE can also plan a multi-person matchup involving all the Imperium members. In that case, Ciampa will have to find out a couple of names by his side.
