After months of waiting, Alexa Bliss has returned to the WWE during this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. The post-Wrestlemania Backlash episode aired from the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut saw the former women’s champion coming back to in-ring action with a win over former WWE officials Sonya Deville.
Deville was out in the ring as she was waiting to find out who her mystery opponent would be. Adam Pearce came out and stated that the investigation into Deville (for misuse of her power) has concluded and upper management found out that Deville recklessly abused her power hence her contract as a WWE official has been terminated.

Pearce also informed that Deville will remain a WWE Superstar. After a short delay, Pearce then introduced her opponent, and out came the returning Alexa Bliss. Interestingly, she had her Lilly Doll in hand as she hit the ring and posed on the apron.
Alexa Bliss brought Lilly into the ring with her and continued posing on the ropes after placing Lilly on the top turnbuckle. Deville seemed frustrated as fans chanted “welcome back” to the returnee. The former women’s champion immediately dropped Deville with a DDT. She went right to the top for a Twisted Bliss and successfully hit it for the pin to get the quick win.

Alexa Bliss was unhappy about her absence from WWE
Alexa Bliss has been off WWE television since the Women’s Elimination Chamber Match on February 19. On that night itself, she returned to TV following a series of vignettes after being sidelined for months since last September. Recent reports also claimed that she reportedly showed frustrations over her creative direction and went directly to WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon to file complaints about it.
Following Wrestlemania 38, Fightful Select reported how there was still no substantial creative direction for Alexa Bliss when she was brought back to work in the Elimination Chamber. This is why she reportedly voiced displeasure over the lack of creative direction in the days following Elimination Chamber, and talent, creative writers, and higher-ups were aware of this, as well.
Thankfully, the veteran female superstar is back on the fold and it seems like she’d be a regular feature on Raw as Hell in a Cell approaches closer.
